Mother’s Day at 40Res
From Keliann & Josh
There’s something about Mother’s Day that feels different to everything else we do.
It’s quieter.
More personal.
Less about the occasion… and more about the people sitting around the table.
For us, it’s always been about family.
The women who shaped us, supported us, and continue to hold everything together—often without ever asking for anything in return.
This year feels even more meaningful.
With a newborn in our arms, we’re seeing it all from a new perspective. The rhythm of life shifts, priorities soften, and you begin to understand, in a deeper way, what it really means to give so much of yourself to others.
So this lunch is a small reflection of that.
A menu built from memory, from feeling, from the kind of food that says more than it needs to.

There’s a quiet nod to home in there.
The Bakewell tart—simple, nostalgic, something close to Josh’s upbringing.
And the chocolates… made late at night, in between services and everything else, just as a small gesture.
Because sometimes it’s the smallest things that mean the most.
